There's plenty of good reasons to buy Spanish residential property for investment or purely leisure reasons. Buying in Spain offers:

- lots of new
">Spanish property investment options as compared to other European countries

- healthy tourist figures of 53 million tourists per annum consisting of 12.5 million from the UK. This offers excellent, sustainable rental return opportunities

- much lower house and apartment prices than the UK. Currently at 2%, the EURIBOR (Euro Interbank Offered Rate) base rate is much lower than the UK base rate, making for much easier debt management

- lower living costs than the UK. As an approximate guide, the cost of living including tax and utility charges for a 2 bed Spanish apartment range from £2000 to £3000 and

- an excellent opportunity to live in the Mediterranean region and in a country rich in culture, good nightlife and sophistication.

On top of these reasons, pensions and equities have not been making satisfactory return levels over recent years – presenting Spanish property buying as a healthier, alternative investment option.

The Murcia region is one Spanish region which offers some excellent property buying opportunities. Not only is it one of the last Spanish regions to be developed, it has been enjoying some healthy injections of EU finance recently. It has good transport links - with excellent roads and some newly built airports.

Murcia’s average property prices are rising at approximately 29% a year. Plus if you are seeking excellent property investment opportunities in Murcia – there are plenty of golf, spa, beach and marina resort properties for sale there.
